Afghan crisis: Kulgam families demand evacuation of stranded relatives

Kulgam: Family members of three persons who are stranded in Kabul Afghanistan have appealed the LG lead administration to bring back them home safely.
Prof Mohammad Asif Shah from Waspeth Kulgam and ProfvAdil Rasool and his wife Asifya Jan from Qaimoh Kulgam are stranded in Kabul which is now under the direct control of Taliban.
Their families in Kulgam are very worried about their safety and have appealed the LG J&K and External Affairs Ministry to bring back them back safely.
Prof Asif and Prof Adil both are working in Sheikh Bakhtar University and are now trapped in Kabul.
Their families said that they have talked to them on phone and the trio is trapped there and need to be evacuated safely.
They said since last several days we have been waiting that they will be brought back but nothing has been done as of now.
The families now requested LG Manoj Sinha to personally intervene and help in bringing them back at an earliest.
Meanwhile, the trio trapped in Afghanistan also used social media platforms to air their concerns for safety.
In a video message they have appealed the authorities to help them in getting back to India.
Pertinently, LG Manoj Sinha had earlier assured the families that the trio will be brought back safely.
