Kangan residents demand concrete Flood Protection Bund on Nallah
GANDERBAL: The residents of Surfraw in Tehsil Gund of Ganderbal district have demanded concrete flood Protection Bund and Dredging of Nallah.
According to the locals of Surfraw Gund, days before a cloudburst hit the tributary (Surfraw Nallah) due to which the whole village got submerged besides many houses and agricultural fields got damaged.
They demanded that there is immediate need of concrete Flood Protection Bund on both sides and Dredging of the Nallah also needs to be taken up immediately.
The locals said that they have approached Tehsildar Gund, Fareed Ahmad Khatana who assured them that the matter will be taken with concerned officials as a top priority.
