Addiction is a psychological and physical inability to stop and control the taking of chemicals despite of knowing their harmful consequences on the physical and psychological health. Drug addiction or substance Use Disorder (SUD) is a disease which has negative impact on person’s brain and behaviour. It may be chemicals or other addictive substances. The risk of addiction is directly proportional to intake of harmful substances.
In our Day to day to life style we are facing with numerous health issue challenges, but the main challenge to the whole global fraternity is rise in drug addiction among teen agers. No country is left where the future of nation is secure in the hands of youth. But what are the reasons due to which future of nation is going to be darkened day by day? The teenagers from 15-20 age groups are at stake due to this addiction. There are various factors which lead to this addiction and make the future darkened.
As in the society we live in diversity and have our peer groups, once in a peer group anyone is being addicted to all these type of deeds others start to follow just because of this to Fit themselves otherwise they felt being excluded or not being accepted by society. How disgusting this is all that new blooming flowers are being irrigated with alcohol and other chemicals. If we will look into the system of our education how challengeable it is for us, Average students are being now excluded from the system and being forced to work by this system and competitive examination.
The parents have also shared a big hand in this phobia for competitive exams without knowing the talent of their wards. And later on when anything goes against the will of student then they start feeling stressed, anxiety, depressed and used to take drugs and chemicals for time being pleasure but that make them additive for whole life due to interaction of drug abuse with neurochemistry of brain and the talent which we had to explore remains uncovered due to our phobia of competitive examination only.
And also not only by this even in box competitive society many people consume illegal drugs to enhance their performance in academics and athletics but later on found with very dangerous adolescents are often being motivated to seek experiences, particularly those who perceive as thrilling and unemployment and financial backwardness is also major factor of drug addiction especially in Kashmir, where the degree holder is roaming around in the streets in search of job but can’t find to feed himself and his family.
Many people also become addicted to misused prescription drugs, or to chemical substances not manufactured for human consumption, to party drugs hallucinogens like LSD, or to marijuana, which despite its benign reputation is the most widely abused illicit drug substances.
Drugs are chemicals that affect the body and brain. Different drugs can have different effects. Some effects of drugs include health consequences that are long-lasting and permanent. They can even continue after a person has stopped taking the substance.
There are a few ways a person can take drugs, including injection, inhalation and ingestion. The effects of the drug on the body can depend on how the drug is delivered. For example, the injection of drugs directly into the bloodstream has an immediate impact, while ingestion has a delayed effect.
But all misused drugs affect the brain. They cause large amounts of dopamine, a neurotransmitter that helps regulate our emotions, motivation and feelings of pleasure, to flood the brain and produce a “high.” Eventually, drugs can change how the brain works and interfere with a person’s ability to make choices, leading to intense cravings and compulsive drug use. Over time, this behavior can turn into a substance dependency, or drug addiction.
Today, more than 7 million people suffer from an illicit drug disorder, and one in four deaths results from illicit drug use. In fact, more deaths, illnesses and disabilities are associated with drug abuse than any other preventable health condition. People suffering from drug and alcohol addiction also have a higher risk of unintentional injuries, accidents and domestic violence incidents.
Now we are the Future of Nation, the flag of peace and prosperity lies in our hands we are the blooming flowers of garden and our fragrance is the need of the nation. We should come forward to make awareness and counseling the addicted youngsters and make them know about the ill effects of these chemicals.
We should make them to put their heart out and be patient to their problems. We should listen their challenges help them in all possible ways to come out from this. We should have to prove that we are responsible citizens of nation. And we should start campaigning against Drug addiction. We should treat them as ours not to exclude them and avoid them on behalf of their behaviour. May be our one step towards them can save a precious life.
