Police seize five vehicles for illegal extraction, transportation of minerals
Srinagar: Police in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district seized five vehicles involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals from Mirgund Pattan, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
He said that police personnel seized five vehicles (02 Tippers and 3 Tractors) involved in extraction and transportation of raw materials illegally extracted from Mirgund Pattan area of Baramulla.
Police requests the people not to indulge in illegal mining activities from any Nallah as it is the violation of Government rules.
Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units, the spokesman added.
