Advisor Baseer Khan meets deputations, individuals

SRINAGAR: Several deputations and individuals Tuesday called on Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan at Civil Secretariat here and apprised him of their grievances and demands.
A delegation of Hospital Development Fund Health Employees Association J&K submitted a representation regarding their demands. They said that they have been performing their duties as frontline workers in the Health Department for the last sixteen years and said that they should be brought under the purview of Minimum Wages Act
Kashmir Economic Alliance Chairperson (KEA), Muhammad Yaseen Khan also led various deputations and raised several issues of public importance before the Advisor. A delegation of Umer Colony, Bemina requested for macdamization of lanes of Umer Colony and up-gradation of Public Park including its fencing and gate.
Another delegation from Kangan, Ganderbal requested for release of payment for the supply material provided for various works under MGNREGA.
Many other delegations raised various issues of public importance of their respective localities and sought the intervention of the Advisor in this regard. Likewise several individuals also called on Advisor and raised their individual matters regarding various issues.
Advisor gave patient hearing to all the delegations and individuals and assured an early redressal of their genuine demands and issues. He said that the issues projected by them would be taken up with the concerned departments for immediate redressal. In some cases, Advisor Baseer Khan gave on spot instructions to the concerned officers for redressal of the grievances.
