ARTO Baramulla conducts test for issuing driving licence
Out of 1100 applicants, 936 has passed since last six months: ARTO
Sopore: ARTO Baramulla, Mubashir Jaan took a series of novel initiatives to smoothen the functioning of Motor Vehicles Department. One among them is on-ground driving test for those applicants desirous to obtain driving license.
While talking to media ARTO said that during the trial, several basic and vital parameters are being checked on road and all those applicants who are qualifying these parameters are being issued the driving license instantly.
He said that the test will measure the applicants driving skills with the knowledge of the traffic rules and regulations.
The ARTO said that they had received 1100 applicants since last six months, who are desirous to get driving licence from the department.
“Out of them 936 applicants have passed the test and they will be issued licenses,” he added.
The ARTO informed that the test is area specific and the candidates are being tested in their respective areas.
Meanwhile, the people have applauded the initiative and termed it a step ahead to ensure transparency and smooth issuance of driving licenses.
