Militant killed in Pulwama encounter
Srinagar, July 08: A nocturnal encounter started between militants and government forces in Puchal area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday. One militant hs been killed in the encounter so far, police said.
Reports said that a joint team of Police, Army’s 55RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Puchal.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
A senior police officer also confirmed killing of one militant.
He said that the operation is continuing.
