J&K Yateem Foundation Kupwara organizes blood donation camp

Srinagar: As part of bringing comfort and save human lives, J&K Yateem Foundation organized blood donation camp in frontier district headquarters of Kupwara in collaboration with Department of Health, Kupwara
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone inaugurated the blood donation camp.
On the occasion, 33 units (pints) of blood were donated by volunteers and well wishers of J&K Yateem Foundation from Kupwara Unit.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC Mr Lone complimented the organizers for organizing blood donation camp. He also appreciated the humanitarian spirit of volunteers who donated their blood.
Lone said that youth of Kupwara have always set an example in participating in such humanitarian and welfare programmes.
On the occasion, Incharge blood donation camp Mohammad Maqbool Khan informed that the J&K Yateem Foundation started its functioning in Kupwara district from the year 2002 and is extending helping hands yo the orphans, poor and needy families under various programmes.
Ghulam Mohammad Shangar, Supervisor Blood Bank, Zahoor Iqbal, Blood Bank Technician, M۔S۔ Shahid, Counsellor ICTC Cum Blood Bank, from Health Department participated in the camp.
Chairman JKYF Mohammad Ahsan Rather complimented Kupwara JKYF Unit for undertaking such noble initiatives. He also extended gratitude to the Health department for facilitating the Camp for the benefit of common people of the far flung areas.
