CRPF Trooper dies due to ‘accidental fire’
Srinagar: A paramilitary CRPF trooper on Monday died due to “accidental fire” at Haft Chinar near Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar district, official sources said.
They said that the trooper died on spot due to the accidental fire from his service rifle (Carbine) when he was close to the deployment at Haft chinar Srinagar.
The trooper has been identified as driver Constable Sachin Yadav.
CRPF Spokesman Abhiram said that the constable neither died due to fire from outside or as a consequence of suicide. “There was accident fire from his rifle and he died on the spot,” he added. (GNS)
