J&K Yateem Foundation distributes essentials among fire victims

Srinagar: As part of coordination and cooperation with other credible social service units, J& K Yateem Foundation (JKYF) in coordination with Markazi Baitul Maal (Islamic Charity Unit) Bandipora distributed 90 tin sheets and three kitchen sets among three families who were recently affected by fire in Bonaakote area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
The items include cooking gas cylinders with gas stoves worth Rs 75000 that were distributed among the affected families, a spokesman of the organization said.
The houses of three families were razed to ground in a fire incident recently, he added.
Earlier, a joint team of Baitul Maal and J&K Yateem Foundation visited the fire victim families to assess the loss.
The team was headed by Khursheed Anwar Nadvi, head priest of Markazi Jamia Masjid and recorded all details pertaining to the loss due to fire incident.
Later, the team interacted with the elders of the village.
Khursheed Anwar Nadvi impressed upon the elders to extend their helping hand to the affected families so that they could run their routine life afresh without any sense of loss, the spokesman added.
Both Baitul Maal & JKYF appreciated the contribution of people and practical support to reach out to the affected families with maximum possible succour.
