They said the road is full of potholes which are giving tough time to the commuter’s especially pregnant ladies and elderly who at time needs shifting to healthcare facilities.
“Kulgam-Behibagh road via Mohammed pora which has length of around 15 kms is lying in very bad condition as authorities have failed to Macadamise this road since long,” said Mujtaba, a local resident.
He said that despite the road connecting dozens of villages, the authorities have ignored it due to unknown reasons.
Locals added that they have brought this issue into the notice of concerned authorities several times but to no avail.
“We have been visiting offices of concerned officials dozens of times but except assurances we haven’t got anything,” they said.
They requested District Magistrate Kulgam and other officials of the concerned department to look into the matter and macadamise the road at an earliest so that locals can heave a sigh of relief.
