Empowering LPG consumers
It is laudable that the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has taken the step of allowing LPG customers to choose which distributor they want to refill their gas from. This one-of-a-kind service will be trialed in Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Gurugram, Pune and Ranchi.
The consumer will be provided a list of delivering distributors along with their performance rating when scheduling an LPG refill through the mobile app/customer portal using their registered login. To receive an LPG refill, the customer can choose from any of the distributors on the list that are available in his or her area.
Hope that the service not only empowers clients by expanding their options, but also encourages healthy competition among distributors to give best-in-class services to clients and improve their performance ratings.
Customers can also use the website and mobile app to access all LPG-related services such as connection portability, refill booking, and contactless payments. This is a right move that contributes to Digital India by increasing transparency and delivering LGP at people’s doorsteps.
