IED’s detected in Srinagar, Pulwama
Srinagar: Suspected militants on Monday tried to target security forces by planting two Improvised Explosive Devices (IED’s) at two separate places in Kashmir, police sources said.
They said that an IED was recovered outside Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) here in Karan Nagar area of Srinagar on Monday.
A top police official said that an IED has been recovered at the main gate of SMC office here.
He said that the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) team reached the spot and defuse the IED.
The explosive material was concealed in a tin, the official added.
Meanwhile, security forces also detected a suspected improvised explosive device (IED) in Pulwama district, police said.
The explosive was detected at Soimoh area of Tral in the south Kashmir district, a police official said.
He said a bomb disposal squad destroyed the object without causing any damage.
