One killed another injured in Sopore road mishap

Sopore, Jun 03: One person was killed and another injured when their Scooty was hit by a speedy Truck in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday morning.
Reports said that the duo was travelling on a two wheeler on Sopore-Ladoora road when the speedy tipper coming from opposite side near Achabal area hit and critically injured them.
Soon after the incident both the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where one among them succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, a police officer said a case in this regard has been registered. He identified the deceased as Tariq Ahmad Pathan of Binner Baramulla and injured as Nisar Ahmad Ganai, who has been taken to a local hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
