Sopore: The residents of Botingoo Sopore, a remote village in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district have demanded construction of a bridge over a stream.
The village which houses around 30 households is located at a distance of around 12 kilometers from main town Sopore.
The residents told that there is a dire need of a bridge which connects them to other nearby areas and Sopore town, Junaid Ahmad, a resident said.
He said that that whenever it rains the water level in the stream rises making it impossible for the residents to cross it.
He said that many people of the area put their lives in danger by crossing the stream over the fast flowing stream.
He said that they have been repeatedly demanding the construction of concrete bridge over the nallah to mitigate their sufferings.
The villagers said that no one is paying attention to their grievances as their pleas have been falling on deaf ears.
The villagers appealed the deputy commissioner Baramulla to personally look into the matter and help resolve their sufferings.
