NGO provides Immunity boosters to red zone Area residents in Mehjoor Nagar

Srinagar: ‘We Volunteers’ an NGO in association with Ansar Ul Masakeen organised a day long awareness campaign in Mehjoor Nagar on Monday. The aim of the programme was to create awareness among the residents of the area which has been declared as a ‘Red Zone’. The organizers also distributed Immunity Booster kits among the locals.
“The main aim of the programme was to aware the people about the Covid-19 disease and taking precautions to avoid the spread of the disease,” Malik Asif Ul Noor, Chairman ‘We Volunteers’ said.
He said that the massive drive was organized jointly with Ansar Ul Masakeen, where in volunteer’s intereacted with the locals and informed them about the measures that need to be taken to keep covid-19 at bay.
He said that Immunity boosters and other essential items related to Covid 19 were distributed during a daylong camp among hundreds of residents.
“People were educated about the use of face masks and sanitizers, washing hands and maintaining social distances during the pandemic,” he added.
Awareness was provided about handling of Covid 19 patients at home having mild symptoms as various health experts were also part of the awareness campaign, he added.
Later, Malik Asif, and Afika Ali chairperson Ansar ul Masakeen, thanked the volunteers and health experts for making the event a success.
