Lockdown in Anantnag : Alphabet-wise roster issued to ensure availability of medicines, essentials

Srinagar: District Magistrate Anantnag Saturday issued a alphabet-wise roster for the chemist shops and related-agencies to ensure availability of medicines in three Tehsils of the south Kashmir district.
An order in this regard applicable to three Tehsil including Anantnag, Shangus and Anantnag East (Mattan) says that chemist shops and related-agencies with names – as indicated in the signboards – starting with Alphabet A to J will remain open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and those starting with K to Z will remain open on alternate days – Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The order is issued in pursuance of the Clause 3 A (II) of the Order No. 37 of 2021 Dated 28/04/2021, issued by the District Magistrate (Chairman DDMA) Anantnag, which reads as under: “…Chemist shops are allowed to operate on roster basis (to serve basic requirements) to be submitted by local Chemist Association in consultation with local Incident Commanders…”, it further stated.
