Chardham Yatra
The step by Uttarakhand Government to postpone the Chardham Yatra to the four famous Himalayan shrines is in the right direction. The registration portals will open as scheduled, but only priests will be allowed to perform daily prayers at the shrines and not devotees.
The pilgrims of the state and outside are not allowed to visit the temples. The Chardham Yatra has a lot of religious significance in the Hindu religion. It has always been believed that every Hindu must go on this pilgrimage at least once in his lifetime. Hope that the devotees will accept the decision widely in view of this pandemic across the country.
