COVID-19: Makhdoom Sahab shrine sanitized after Imam, five others test positive

Srinagar: The Makhdoom Sahab shrine was on Saturday fumigated after a prayer leader and five others tested positive for COVID-19 at the shrine.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Wakf Board, Mufti Muhammad Farid-ud-din said that six persons including the prayer leader and Peer Sahabs have tested positive at Makhdoom Sahab shrine.
He said that the positive cases have been isolated and the contacts have been asked to self-isolate and get themselves tested.
CEO Wakf Board added that soon after the positive cases were detected at the shrine, the men from Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) visited the shrine and sanitized the shrine.
“We are monitoring the situation closely and if need arises, we will close the shrine for two or three days,” he said. (KNO)
