Security forces destroy IED’s in Pulwama, Shopian
Srinagar: Security forces averted a tragedy by detecting and destroying an improvised explosive device (IED) in Pulwama district of south Kashmir on Friday, police said.
The IED was detected at Circle Road in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district and was later destroyed by a Bomb Disposal Squad without any damage, a police official said.
A major tragedy was averted, he said.
Meanwhile, a low intensity Improvised Explosive Device was found in Gagran area Shopian district later in the day.
Official sources said that a low intensity IED was found in Gagran area. Soon a police and Bomb Disposal Squad reached the spot and defused the IED.
