Govt constitutes 11-member panel for implementation of NBHM

Srinagar/Jammu: Government has granted sanction to the constitution of a Union territory level committee for implementation of National Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM) in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Committee, as per an order a replica of which lies with Srinagar-based news agency Global News Service (GNS), will be headed by Principal Secretary, Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Department as Chairman with Director Agriculture Jammu; MD, JKAGROS; MD JKHMPC; Director Agriculture Kashmir; Representative of Forest, Ecology and Environment Department (not below the rank of Additional Secretary); Representative of Tribal Affairs Department (not below the rank of Additional Secretary); Secretary KVIC; Representative of ICAR; Joint Director, Agriculture and Mushrooms, Kashmir and Joint Director Agriculture and Mushrooms, Jammu to act as members besides Director Agriculture Kashmir also to act as Nodal Officer of the committee.
The Committee has been mandated to implement, monitor and supervise the central sector scheme, National Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM) in Jammu and Kashmir besides asked to implement Mini Mission-I, II and III as per the guidelines of NBHM on the website of National Bee Board (NBB).
The Committee is to look after priority activities under the Mission led by the National Bee Board (NBB), the order says further.
