Muslims collect donations for treatment of Hindu boy

Thathri: In yet another instance of communal harmony, the Muslim community of Gandoh Bhalessa area in Doda district here has collected donations for the treatment of a Hindu boy, who was critically injured in a road accident at Ghat Doda last week.
Reports said that the members from Muslim community at Gandoh Bhalessa collected donations for the injured Hindu boy after mandatory Friday prayers yesterday.
A video has also went viral on social media in which the members from Muslim community could be seen seeking help from the general public for the treatment of a boy identified as Deepak Kumar of Barshalla Thathri, presently admitted in ICU at GMC Jammu.
A local from the area said that the religious cleric during the Friday sermons asked them to collect donations for the needy Hindu boy.
“Our Imam (Religious cleric) asked us to collect the amount for the treatment of a poor needy Hindu boy as he is presently in ICU and needs specialized treatment. We tried our best to help the boy in whatever way possible,” the local said. (KNO)
