Minor drowns in Sopore, body yet to be retrieved

Sopore, Apr18: A 5-year old girl drowned in Nallah Khrusu at Ningli area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday evening.
Report said that, a 5-year old girl identified as Rabiya Shabir D/o Shabir Ahmed Ganaie of Zaloora Sopore slipped and drowned in the Nallah Khrusu at Ningli area of Sopore where she was staying witht her maternal uncle.
Meanwhile, a police officer while confirming the incident said, soon after the incident a rescue team has been sent to the area to trace out the body, despite efforts of police and locals her body was not retrieved yet, he added.
