Man, son get life term for killing nephew
Muzaffarnagar, Apr 2 (PTI) A local court sentenced a man and his son to life imprisonment for killing his nephew four years ago.
Nekiram and his son Chander Shekher were convicted on Thursday for killing Bachan Singh (22) in September 2017.
Singh was killed with a sharp weapon after misbehaving with Nekiram’s daughter in Bhokaheri village, District Government Counsel Rajeev Sharma said.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Sandeep Gupta imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh each on the father and son and held them guilty under IPC Section 302(muder).
He has directed that the accused will get one more year in jail if they fail to deposit the fine. Singh’s father had lodged an FIR against the accused in this matter.
