Srinagar: Alleging that the present administration led by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha is proving to be the biggest impediment for letting the routine matters to run, National Conference Vice President Kashmir Province, Er Malik Asif Noor said that people have been left to suffer as the administration has even failed to run the routine matters.
The NC leader in a statement issued here Thursday said that the administration has gone on a rampage and is transferring officials at such a pace that many offices have turned defunct as the top officials are not even given two weeks time to stay at their places of posting.
“Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JKEDA) has witnessed appointment of four Chief Executive Officers (CEO’s) since 26 Dec 2020 to Mar 31st 2021. Four senior officials were put in charge of the department but they were not even provided two weeks time to address the issues faced by the department and the people associated with it,” Er Asif Noor said.
“The appointments and transfers were done so fast that the staff posted there could not even brief the incumbent officers about the issues and the matters that needed urgent attention,” he added.
The NC leader said that the contractors associated with the said agency have been crying their throats dry by asking for release of payments as the financial year has closed, but their bills were not entertained or processed as the no CEO was allowed to stay put for more than ten days during the last three months.
“The tall claims of providing an able and transparent administration fall flat on ground as the measures announced by the present administration are mere slogans as nothing is happening on ground that may bring some relief for the common man,” Er Asif Noor added.
