Temperature records slide as Kashmir gets rains

Weather to remain dry till April 04: MeT

Srinagar: Plains as well as the higher reaches of Kashmir on Monday received fresh rainfall, bringing the temperature down across the Valley.
The rainfall started on the intervening night of Sunday-Monday and continued till the afternoon.
Deputy Director Meteorological department, Mukhtar Ahmad said that both—plains as well as higher reaches received light to moderate rainfall since last night.
He said there is no forecast of any major rainfall and snowfall till April 04, adding that the weather would remain dry till next Monday.
Ahmad also stated that the temperature plummeted a bit across the Valley, saying that it would increase significantly from tomorrow.
Pertinently, Kashmir received three-day wet spell till March 24 during which heavy rainfall was recorded across Jammu and Kashmir and resulted in increase in the water level in river Jhelum and other streams across the Valley. (KNO)
