DDC Chairperson B’la chairs maiden meet
Takes review of various developmental projects
BARAMULLA: The District Development Council (DDC) Baramulla Chairperson, Safeena Beigh Saturday chaired her maiden meeting at Dak Bungalow, here and took review of the pace and position of various developmental projects undertaken by different executing agencies in the district.
The meeting was attended by DDC members, BDC Chairpersons, Joint Director Planning, heads of concerned departments, among other functionaries.
On the occasion, a comprehensive discussion was held wherein the JD Planning briefed the chair about the current status of developmental activities undertaken by different departments. He gave sector wise briefing of different works and presented in depth details about these projects.
After taking a detailed review, Beigh stressed upon the concerned agencies to ramp up the pace of work so that all the undertaken projects are completed well within the stipulated time frame. She emphasized for mobilising all the available resources productively and effectively for achieving the desired results.
She also assured full cooperation on her part and added that socio-economic development should be the sole priority.
Meanwhile, various issues hampering the path of development were thoroughly discussed in the meeting during which the chairperson assured that all the impediments shall be taken with the concerned authorities for their time bound redressal.
