Youth goes missing in Tral, family appeals for return

Pulwama: A youth a Tral belt of south Kashmir’s Pulwama has gone missing on Friday while as his family has appealed all to help them in tracing him out.
Shahid Ahmad Rather (25) son of Ghulam Mohammed Rather, a resident of Laroo Tral has gone missing on Friday evening after which his family members have filed a missing report at the concerned police station.
His father Ghulam Mohammed said that Shahid a painter by profession left home on Friday and did not return back.
He said that they contacted his friends, relatives, neighbours and all our relatives but couldn’t find him forcing us to lodge a missing report with the police.
“I request everybody to kindly let him return back. I don’t have anyone besides him, I can’t do anything without him. I beg you all for God’s sake let him return back to his family,” he said.
His mother, sisters and relatives also requested public to kindly share their message so that it will reach him and he returns back to his family.
SDPO Tral Dr Aijaz Ahmad Malik said that Shahid was arrested in first week of this month and was released after counseling after his family members assured that they will not allow him to indulge in militancy related activities.
Despite that he has left home and there are chances that he may have joined militant ranks, however, efforts are on to trace him, he said.
