Pillion rider dies, motorcyclist injured in mishap
Barmulla: A pillion rider was killed and motorcyclist critically injured when a truck hit them at Pattan in north Kashmir district on Wednesday afternoon, police sources said.
They said a truck hit a motorcycle at Hanjiveera, Pattan, on Srinagar-Baramulla highway this afternoon resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Javid Qadir Lone, a resident of Arun Bandipora and his pillion mate identified as Mudasir Hussain Wani, a resident of Modergund Bandipora.
The injured were rushed to hospital where Wani was declared brought dead.
Police has registered a case an initiated proceedings, they added.
