‘Nazam Te Chith’, poem by Dr Darkhshaan Andrabi (An Analysis)

Introduction
Kashmiri poetry is superior in its origin because its foundation stone is not laid by any common person but a Sufi Saint Lal Aarifa (Lal Ded). She not only discovered Kashmiri poetic literature but provided strength to its divine taste. The first tree to shadow the surrounding of Kashmir was a female voice that authorized our voice through spiritual taste of literature.
Centuries passed many poets and literary people has passed till now among them Dr Darkhshaan Andrabi also emerged as a female voice who will also be known for her different approach of poetry. My today’s poem of discussion is her poem “Nazam Te, Chithi”. I translated this poem as “Poem and Letter” from one of her poem collection “Lonchi Gandith Tchaay”.
Translation and analysis
When she hide the letter….
Blush..! scripted on her face….a wordage
which the whole world….read then….
She versed her words against that fear and
its all apostles
Poems existed in her as she breath,
Her feel emerged in them
Now she hide the poems
still her wrinkles write on her face, only excitement……
Now she passed off with a letter to herself and proved now….!
She is far away of all the exclamations
She has hid herself in a world that is unpublished
Millions of poems in the world represent feelings but few of them become the voice. Collection of Dr Darkhshaan Andrabi’s poems is with the universal effect of feelings which touches the heart of mankind without caste, creed and colour.
The poem above mentioned is one among the poems which is a third person narrative poem where the feelings are narrated. This narrative sense of poem makes it directly or indirectly a story telling poem gathering the feeling from outside to implement them in one’s inner self as a message, as a feeling and as a voice and turn out the inner feelings of inner self to the outer world.
It is directly a story of feelings of a writer who is alone with his loneliness. Consistent pains or pleasure but is unable to say a single word to the surroundings then he raise the pen and talk to his or her paper and share every feeling.
It is state of a person where we are speechless about what we feel but our Penta sense approach deal with these feelings and express them in signs and symbols. Blushing of face gives a way to learner what fear actually is, excitement at its peak provide a good definition of human nature and behavior saying how the things can influence our inner as well as outer self. The poem is a complete subject with a detailed reference about the metaphysical things of human being which neither can be touched nor approached by any physical tool.
By one or the other way the mentioned poem gives an illustration about the fact that sometimes we are unable to write all that we feel but our body language, our appearance express all the facts we try to hide.
By other means we can say that the poem reminds us that we exist in the world. We could show it even without words. Poem promotes the ideology dealing with sense organs and their behavior as per the external environment. Behind the hard core of this body composed of flesh and bones there already exists a metaphysical part which has its own language which expresses all existing around us? The inbuilt tendency of man to expose the inner most things like feel says that we really are the creation who have a heart to feel, a mind to think and different sense organs to express. Therefore the poem has given socio scientific illustration and socio spiritual understanding of life and it’s important features which it contains.
The poem further gives a detailed account about the different phases of life which consecutively come with the passage of time. As a matter of fact we all know that man is made of air, water and soil. These ingredients posses some special qualities which are inbuilt in mankind, ie anger, pain, pleasure sadness etc.
All these qualities are inbuilt in human body as a tendency but sometimes get exposed to the external world through some special traits, so we can say the poem is a complete discipline that expresses human being from time to time, his feel as well as his behavior.
Some Greek anthologies were of this view that the people with silent nature are the perfect users expressions like blush, anger pain and pleasure etc. The poem is a bold representative of these things which are completely divine and the eternal but induced things in human body.
This belief also emerge by the poem that man try to overcome all hurdles inside him, he’s full of capacities to against the inner self, in other words we can say that the poem recalls the inner most tendency of mankind to fight against his weakness.
The poem inspires the man by saying that you are skilled to fight against your weakness, so you are not weak but the most powerful. By this poem I came to the conclusion that this poem is not a poem but a letter to those who are suppressed and depressed and have inferiority complex. It prepares mankind with positive attitude towards life, which proves that man is worthy and the best creation of the nature.
