Leopard killed by locals after injuring man in Pulwama village
Pulwama, Feb 24: A leopard was killed by locals after it injured a person in Pathan village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.
Locals said that a leopard attacked a man identified as Bilal Ahmad in Pathan village after which he was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
The locals subsequently attacked and killed the leopard in the afternoon, they said.
Wildlife Warden Shopian division, Suhail Intesar while confirming the incident said that a leopard has been killed in retaliation by locals after it attacked them in the village.
He added that they have taken the body into their custody and further investigation has been taken up—(KNO)
