Srinagar, Feb 15: A man and his wife were injured after a leopard attacked them in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday.

Reports said that panic gripped Waderbala village of Zacheldara Rajwar in Handwara after a leopard appeared and attacked the husband-wife duo. Both, identified as Abdul Rashid Mir and his wife Raja Begum, were shifted to district hospital Handwara, they said. 

A wildlife department official confirmed the incident and said that men are at work to trap the leopard.(GNS)
