Enthusiasm: Sopore Cyclist travels from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in 27 days

Sopore: Displaying enthusiasm and dedication a young cyclist Manan Hassan Wani hailing from north Kashmir’s Sopore town travelled from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari (K2K) on a bicycle in 27 days.
The young cyclist took up the mission so as to educate the youth on the ill effects of drug abuse and asked them to stay away from the menace.
Manan Wani set on the difficult on a bicycle on January 1st and reached Kanya Kumari on 27th of January 2021 (Wednesday) evening.
“I left Sopore on January 1st for Kanya Kumari, a 4000 km travel project, which I completed in 27 days including 4 days of rest,” he said.
“It was an 11 stage travel which started from Jammu and Kashmir then Punjab, Haryana, New Delhi, UP, Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka, Andra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh,” he added.
“I wanted to convey a message to all the youth out there by setting an example that if one is dedicated enough there is no challenge that cannot be surpassed,” Manan said.
He said that everyone needs to give his 100 per cent in whatever he is doing.
“I can tell you how happy I am after completing the challenge. Travelling from Kashmir to Kanyakumari was always a dream and I have achieved this rare feat in 27 days,” he added.
“I am thankful to my coach and of course to my brother Sameer who arranged everything in this tour and planned the route plan. Also, I want to send a message that youth should stay away from drugs as there is a better life ahead of us as people need to focus on their dreams and achieve them,” he added.
The areas through which Manan covered the distance from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari included Sopore, Srinagar, Qazigund, Ramban, Jammu, Pathankot, Ludhiana, Kurukshetra, New Delhi, Mathura, Agra, Gwalior, Jhansi, Sagar, Lakhnadon, Nagpur, Pandharkawada, Nirmal, Bhiknoor, Hyderabad, Kurnool, Anantpur, Bengaluru, Salem, Madurai before finally reaching Kanyakumari, his friend said.
