Administrations slow response left people dismayed in south Kashmir

Pulwama: The administrations slow response to clear roads and restore essential services in wake of the massive snowfall have left people dismayed in different areas of south Kashmir, reports said.
People from different areas of south Kashmir contacted ‘Kashmir Vision’ and said that roads are yet to be cleared and essential services are yet to be restored in their respective areas.
Naveed Ahmad, a resident of Zainapora Shopian said that despite repeated requests to the concerned authorities many roads in the area are yet to be cleared of snow and people continue to face hardships.
The roads include Zainapora-Frisal road, Chitragam-Bandpawa road, Nagbal-Gundarvesh and many other links roads, he said, adding that water and power supply in most parts of the area are also yet to be restored.
Irshad Ahmad, a resident of Lehandajan Pahalgam also said that essential services in the area are yet to be restored and roads are yet to be cleared of snow.
Ghulam Nabi, a resident of Kund Qazigund, Showkat Shabir from Keller Shopian, Sajad Ahmad from Zahid Bagh Pulwama also echoed same views and said that their areas are still reeling under darkness, water supply is yet to be restored and more importantly roads are yet to be cleared.
The locals once again requested authorities to gear up the work of clearing roads and restoration of essential services in the area.
Meanwhile, officials said that steps are being taken to complete the process of clearing roads and restoration of other services at an earliest is also being worked out.
