Residential house gutted in Kangan

KANGAN: A two storey house was gutted in a fire incident on Thursday late evening in Kangan.
According to reports fire engulfed a two storey residential house belonging to Mohammad Amin Khan son of Khari Khan a resident of Baghpati Surfraw in Gund Tehsil of Kangan subdivision.
Soon after the incident firemen from fire Service Station Gund along with locals tried hard to bring the fire under control however, the two storey building suffered massive damage in the fire incident due to which the belongings also got damaged.
An official said that they have taken cognizance of the incident however, as per initial reports the cause of fire is believed to be due to short circuit.
Meanwhile, locals have appealed District and Tehsil administration to compensate the victim family as soon as possible so that they may not suffer during this harsh winter season.
