Tral, Khrew residents without proper cellular connectivity

Demand establishment of mobile towers in their areas

Pulwama: The residents of different areas of Tral and Khrew belt of Pulwama district have been complaining of poor cellular connectivity in their areas.
Locals from Nagapathri and Baragam villages of Tral area and Khrew and Shaar area of Pampore belt said that they have been facing inconvenience in absence of cellular network from last several years but there has been no intervention from any private or government cellular companies so far.
They said that despite repeated pleas to the concerned company and authorities the telecommunication companies have failed to install any tower in the area.
If any company would install a tower in our area, this issue will get solved once for all, said Shabir Khan, a resident of Khrew area.
He said that when world is witnessing 5G internet connectivity, we don’t have basic cellular connectivity to call anybody.
“We usually move to other places to make phone calls as our phones remain out of service, when we stay indoors,” said Bilal Ahmad, a resident of Nagpathri.
“Our students are also facing problems in absence of network connectivity”, he said, adding that our relatives also get worried when they are unable to contact us.
Locals said that they have brought this issue into the notice of concerned authorities several times but the situation did not change.
They appealed concerned authorities from the government as well as private cellular companies to install towers in their areas, so that they can avail mobile phone network facility with ease.
