Newly constructed health centre in Tral yet to become functional

Pulwama: A remote village in Aripal belt of Tral sub division lacks health care facilities as the newly constructed building for the health centre has been left in dilapidated condition.
Locals said that they felt happy after a healthcare facility was setup in the area however, after the building was completed, the centre was never made functional.
They added that locals are forced to visit sub district hospital Tral for minor ailments as the health facility has failed the very purpose for which it was sanctioned.
Sharik Ahmad, a local resident said that centre has been left in a dilapidated condition as authorities have failed to make it functional.
He added that the locals face hardships and are forced to visit district and sub district hospitals especially while facing emergency cases.
The locals said that they have brought the issue to the notice of concerned authorities several times but to no avail.
They now requested the higher authorities in the administration to look into the matter and get the centre functional with all facilities being provided to the people.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral S A Raina, when contacted said that he has already sought a report from the concerned BMO in this regard.
He assured that centre will be made functional very soon.
