Police solved another burglary case in Sopore

Sopore: Police on Wednesday claimed to have solved another case of theft in north Kashmir’s Sopore area by arresting the accused and recovery of stolen property, a police statement said.
It said that police received a complaint from Haji Gulam Ahmad Teli son of Mohammad Syed Teli of Model Town Sopore on November 9 saying that some unknown person entered into his shop in order to purchase some gold items. While showing him ornaments the person took away one golden pendulum worth about 20K.
Acting on this a case FIR No. 334/2020 U/S 454, 380/IPC was registered in Police Station Sopore and investigations were started.
The statement said that during the course of investigation and with the help of CCTV footage the accused was identified as Irshad Ahmad Ganai son of Ali Mohammed Ganai of Chatloora Rafiabad. The accused was avoiding arrest since then, however, police apprehended the accused after raiding various places and recovered the stolen property.
