Police busts burglar gang in Sopore

Sopore, Dec 07 : Police on Monday claimed to have busted a burglars gang by arresting five notorious burglars, who were involved in recent burglary incidents in Sopore town.
Police official said, while acting on several complaints received by Police Station Sopore that unknown thieves/burglars are active in Sopore town and have committed various burglaries incidents in the town.
He said that on reciept of these complaints case FIR No.s 335/2020 U/S 458, 392, 506, 323/IPC and 337/2020 U/S 382/IPC stands registered in Police Station Sopore.
During the course of investigation several suspects were arrested during the nocturnal raids for questioning in which Some notorious burgalers identified as: (01)Mehraj ud Din Kana @Deenchoor S/O Ghulam Mohammad of Qazipora Bandipora (02). Tawheed Nabi Changa S/O Ghulam Nabi changa of Arampora Sopore (03). Mohammad Amin Dar S/O Ghulam Nabi of Shangergund Sopore (04). Mohammad Iqbal Najar S/O Nazir Ahmad of Model Town Sopore and (05). Aqib Ahmad Dar S/O Ab Kareem Dar of Mahrajpora Sopore has confessed their involvement in recent burglaries which was took place in the town.
Police official said that the accused are habitual offenders and drug addicts are involved in many burglary cases and one of the accused Mehraj ud din Kana is master mind among all who was in custody, lodged in sub jail Kupwara from last 08 months. The said accused was released before some days and after his release he again involved himself in same offence of burglary, added that Several cases stands registered against these accuseds in Police Station Sopore, most of cases were already challened, official said.
