Tral village carving for basic amenities

Pulwama: Hajan village in Tral belt of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district is carving for basic facilities as the village according to the locals has been neglected on all fronts.
Surrounded by Vasturvan mountain, the people in this beautiful village have been denied basic amenities even in the 21st century.
Locals said that from last 70 years they have been victim of government’s apathy besides fake promises of local politicians due to which the village has no road connectivity, no proper electricity, drinking water and health care facilities available.
Mohammad Ismail, a local resident said that village has no proper road connectivity due to which they are facing lot of problems.
“There is no health care facility in our area, due to which we are forced to carry critical patients on our shoulders to health care Centres located in Tral,”, he said.
“The power supply lines covering our village are hanging to trees and whenever there is little rains, our electricity supply gets disconnected for many days,” said Mohammed Shaban, another local resident.
“We have been neglected on all fronts and there is no one to take care of our issues,” he said.
Locals said that every officer and politician is aware of the problems that the people face but there aren’t giving any attention towards these grave neglect.
They requested Lt Governor and other senior officials in the administration to look into the problems the villagers are facing.
