Driver from south Kashmir dies in road mishap

Srinagar, Nov 29: A truck driver died after a vehicle he was driving turned turtle along Jammu-Srinagar highway at Sarmoli area last night, officials said on Sunday.

Reports said that a Srinagar-bound truck bearing registration number (JK-02AQ 7757) met with an accident after the driver purportedly lost control over the vehicle near Tawi View Hotel at Sarmoli.

The driver identified as one Sabzar Ahmed Teli (37) son of Abdul Aziz Teli of Hassanpura in Bijbehara Anantnag died on spot, reports said.

A police officer confirmed the incident and said that a case has been registered in this regard. The body has been handed over to his family after completing legal formalities.(GNS)
