Bijbehara Village without road connectivity, appeal authorities for help

Anantnag: Chek Hussianabad village in Bijbehara belt of south Kashmir’s Anantnag is without proper road connectivity, the locals from the area alleged.
The villagers said that they have to travel at least 2 kms by foot to reach the nearest motorable road as they don’t have any choice except to carry even their elderly patients on their shoulders.
“From last seven decades, this village has gone un noticed and the tormenting life of this village guess on,” said Abdul Rashid, a local resident, adding that the tall claims of government that basic facilities like road connectivity is their foremost priority hold no ground here.
Locals also alleged that PMGSY department has failed to provide connectivity to rural areas like Chek Hussainabad village and even senior officials who were appraised about the road issue continue to remain unmoved.
They added that in absence of road connectivity many patients have died en route to the hospital, however, no attention was being given towards them.

“Even we are forced to carry our ration and other essential items on our shoulders so that it reaches our homes,” they added.
They said that this issue was brought in notice of concerned authorities several times but to no avail.
The locals have now once again requested higher ups to take immediate steps for road connectivity of the area, so that they won’t face these problems any more.
