Handwara: A wild bear was captured in Kukrusa village of north Kashmir’s Handwara on Thursday, wildlife officials said here.
An official said that a cage was set up after locals reported presence of a wild bear in adjoining areas of Handwara villages.
He said the bear got trapped in the cage and thus was captured alive and after being tranquillized, was taken to a shelter and later shifted to Dachigam National Park Srinagar in a protected vehicle. (KNT)
