DDC, Ang chairs DLRCC Meet

ANANTNAG: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, K. K. Sidha, who is also Chairman District Level Review Cum Consultative Committee (DLRCC), Tuesday, chaired a meeting of the Committee convened to review the performance of banks and line departments for the 2nd quarter ending September 2020 under District Credit Action Plan (DCAP) 2020-21, in DC Office Complex Anantnag.
The meeting reviewed the progress achieved in key sectors like Agriculture, Micro and Small Enterprises, KCC, Education Housing, Handloom, Handicrafts, Animal/ Sheep Husbandry, Priority & non-priority sectors.
The LDM (Lead District Manager), Anantnag, Mohammad Afaaq while briefing the meeting about the achievements said that an advancement of Rs.1094.27cr have been made available by various banks during the end of 2nd quarter against a credit target of Rs.3580.52cr.
He said that under Agriculture and allied sectors, an advancement of Rs 505.24 cr, under MSME, Rs.236.64cr, under Education Rs.4.36cr, under Housing Rs.27.64cr, under Non priority sector an advancement of Rs. 313.08cr stand disbursed among the beneficiaries.
Similarly, under KCC scheme, 45132 cases have been sanctioned against 112059 sponsored cases and Rs. 78530.55lac has been disbursed by the end of September 2020 among the beneficiaries.
The DDC urged upon the bankers to focus on agriculture and allied sectors and involve unemployed youth under dairy, sheep farming, fish farming etc. He said district administration would provide every possible support to youth desiring to establishment their own income generating Units. He directed the KVIB to impart necessary training to them for establishment of their own income generating units.
Besides asking them to conduct awareness camps in urban & rural areas to aware the common people about welfare & Employment oriented programmes, the DDC instructed the concerned to organize workshop for the unemployed educated youth about skill development & PMEGP.
The DDC in the meeting also announced Rs. 3255cr NBARD credit potential for Anantnag District for upcoming year 2021-22. On the occasion DDC unveiled the Booklet on NBARD’s potential linked credit plan (PLP) for the District and asked the line departments to take its advantage.
Sidha said that special focus is given to increase lending in Agriculture, Horticulture and allied sectors to generate employment and achieve sustainable development, under NABARD.
The DDC advised the Banks to utilize the NABARD’s (PLP’s) document while setting up their targets under credit plans and utilize the Booklet as a reference guide to plan their annual targets.
While highlighting the need of the area and activity specific schemes for integrating income generating activities such as Trout Fisheries, Spice cultivation, apple rootstock plant material, the DDC advised the Banks to utilize the NBARD’s (PLP’s) document while setting up their targets under credit plans and utilize the Booklet as a reference guide to plan their annual targets.
The meeting was attended by District officers from Line Departments including Chief officers of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal husbandry, District officers from Sheep, KVIB, Handicrafts, NRLM, ADGM NABARD, Both Cluster Heads of JK Bank Anantnag, Representatives of EDBI, SBI, PNB, YES Bank, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Canara Bank and Cooperative Bank.
