PAGD releases list of candidates for penultimate phase
Srinagar: Peoples’ Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) on Tuesday evening released third list of 16 candidates contesting Phase-III of District Development Council (DDC) polls in Jammu and Kashmir.
Of the 16 seats, PDP would be contesting on eight seats followed by JKNC in six and on one each by JKPC and ANC, a communique received here read.
Pertinent to mention that the PAGD is an amalgam of several Kashmir-based political parties including National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party, Peoples Conference, ANC, CPI(M) and some other regional parties.
The alliance has been seeking restoration of Article 370 and statehood to Jammu & Kashmir.
