Qazigund: Meet 21-year-old youth Imran from south Kashmir’s Qazigund belt who is winning hearts not only with his charm but singing talent as well. Imran has made a name for himself as he is known for his rap singing and it was after his performance that he has signed up with various national and International music brands.
Imran Hussain Bhat, popularly known as Imee Imran is a resident of Y K Pora Qazigund. Imran has sung several songs so far which were widely appreciated on social media. He is also pursuing an MBA degree besides winning hearts with his singing art.
“Since 2014, I have been pursuing singing as a career. It was after immense hard work for three long years that in 2017 my song was played at an international platform,” Imran told ‘Kashmir Vision’.
“I write and compose my songs myself besides singing it,” he said.
“My performances have been appreciated and as a result I have bagged two contracts one with Zee Music and another with Adventure Global Talent,” he said.
“It all happened because of the hard struggled and dedication by which I pursued my dream,” he added.
“I was studying in a boarding school where the head of the school was always praising my voice and he inspired me to become a singer,” he said, adding that however, he got no support from the local administration here.
“So far I have written, composed and given voice to over one dozen songs and one of my songs on social media had over 11 lakh views,” he said.
Imran rued the fact that the local talented young artists do not find encouragement and a platform to showcase their true potential.
“There is no platform available for the local talented people who due to economic weakness and other issues like family support are unable to showcase their talent,” he said, adding that government must provide an artistic hub to the such people where they can exhibit their talent.
He added that due to internet blockade and 2G internet speed the local talented boys won’t get much chance to come into limelight.
Imran had a message for the local talented boys and girls who wish to make it into the glamour world.
“My message to the youth will be that don’t be shy but showcase whatever talent you have. Work on it and as you toil hard success will touch your feet,” he added.
