Seven covid-19 deaths reported in JK

452 test positive as overall tally touches 92,677

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday recorded seven Covid-19 related deaths taking the death toll to 1,451, while as 452 positive cases were reported pushing the overall tally to 92,677. Of the total 92,677 cases, 55,664 are from Kashmir and 37,013 from Jammu division.
Officials said that out of the 452 new cases, 258 were reported Kashmir division while as 194 were from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 55,664 including 49,843 recoveries and 967 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 37,013 including 34,393 recoveries and 484 deaths.
The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 6,990 including 4,854 from Kashmir division and 2,136 from Jammu division.
With 751 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 84,236 which is 90.89 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 118 from Srinagar, 22 from Budgam, 47 from Baramulla, 24 from Pulwama, 09 from Kupwara, 06 from Anantnag, 13 from Bandipora, 18 from Ganderbal and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 194 from Jammu division include 109 from Jammu, 07 from Rajouri, 06 from Udhampur, 09 from Doda, 09 from Kuthua, 07 from Poonch, 08 from Samba,17 from Kishtiwar, 04 from Ramban and 18 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Notably, in the last 24 hours, seven persons who were tested positive for COVID-19 have died which include three from Kashmir division and four from Jammu division.
As per media bulletin, patients who have died include one each from Srinagar, Kupwara and Bandipora in Kashmir division while as four deaths from Jammu division include two from Jammu district and one each from Udhampur and Reasi.
As per officials figures, 18,847 positive cases including 347 deaths and 16,871 recoveries are from Srinagar, 5,899 including 92 deaths and 5,499 recoveries are from Budgam, 5,722 including 4,165 recoveries and 143 deaths are from Baramulla, 4,597 including 4,296 recoveries and 80 deaths are from Pulwama, 4,320 including 72 deaths and 3,863 recoveries are from Kupwara, 4,189 including 3,816 recoveries and 74 deaths are from Anantnag, 3,994 cases including 3,707 and 46 deaths are from Bandipora, 3,458 including 3,251 recoveries and 32 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,460 including 2,316 recoveries and 46 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,178 including 2,059 recoveries and 35 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 17,122 including 16,001 recoveries and 251 deaths are from Jammu district, 3,179 including 3,032 recoveries and 46 deaths are from Rajouri, 2,643 including 2,513 recoveries and 30 deaths are from Udhampur, 2,624 including 2,444 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Doda, 2,396 including 2,322 recoveries and 30 deaths are from Kathua, 2,226 including 1,940 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Poonch, 2,143 including 1,831 recoveries and 25 deaths are from Samba, 1,866 including 1,662 recoveries and 14 deaths are from Kishtwar, 1,567 including 1,501 recoveries and 13 deaths are from Ramban and 1,247 including 1,147 recoveries and 08 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin, 650,500 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 17,131 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 6,990 persons are in isolation. According to the bulletin, 578,717 persons have completed surveillance period and 46,211 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 2,214,645 samples are available.
Out of 2,214,645 the number of samples tested negative stands at 2,121,968 while as 92,677 have tested positive, among them 6,990 are active, 84,236 persons have recovered and 1,451 persons have died. (KNO)
