10 people die of Covid-19 as 584 test positive in JK

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Thursday recorded ten Covid-19 related deaths taking the death toll to 1,412, while 584 positive cases were reported pushing the tally to 90,166. Of the total 90,166 cases, 54,090are from Kashmir and 36,076 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 584 new cases, 392 belong to Kashmir division while as 192 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 54,090 including 47,921 recoveries and 944 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 36,076 including 32,881 recoveries and 468 deaths.
The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 7,952 including 5,225 from Kashmir division and 27,27 from Jammu division.
With 710 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 80,802 which is 89.61 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 127 from Srinagar, 19 from Budgam, 104 from Baramulla, 30 from Pulwama, 40 from Kupwara, 27 from Anantnag, 09 from Bandipora, 27 from Ganderbal, 07 from Kulgam and 02 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 192 from Jammu division include 103 from Jammu, 03 from Rajouri, 12 from Udhampur, 15 from Doda, 12 from Kathua, 05 from Poonch, 13 from Samba, 23 from Kishtiwar, 03 from Ramban and 04 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Notably, in the last 24 hours, ten persons who were tested positive for COVID-19 have died which include six from Kashmir division and four from Jammu division.
As per media bulletin, patients who have died include three from Srinagar and one each from Budgam, Bandipora and Ganderbal in Kashmir division while one death from Jammu division include three from Jammu district and one from Doda.
As per officials figures, 18,247 positive cases including 340 deaths and 16,107 recoveries are from Srinagar, 5,259 including 91 deaths and 5,299 recoveries are from Budgam, 5,452 including 3,923 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Baramulla, 4,507 including 4,135 recoveries and 79 deaths are from Pulwama, 4,175 including 71 deaths and 3,753 recoveries are from Kupwara, 4,086 including 3,670 recoveries and 71 deaths are from Anantnag, 3,921 cases including 3,615 and 43 deaths are from Bandipora, 3,386 including 3,115 recoveries and 31 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,432 including 2,279 recoveries and 46 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,139 including 2,025 recoveries and 35 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 16,555 including 15,358 recoveries and 243 deaths are from Jammu district, 3,149 including 2,869 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Rajouri, 2,608 including 2,460 recoveries and 27 deaths are from Udhampur, 2,557 including 2,355 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Doda, 2,360 including 2,283 recoveries and 30 deaths are from Kuthua, 2,175 including 1,747 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Poonch, 2,111 including 1,682 recoveries and 25 deaths are from Samba, 1,812 including 1,581 recoveries and 14 deaths are from Kishtwar, 1,536 including 1,440 recoveries and 12 deaths are from Ramban and 1,213 including 1,106 recoveries and 07 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin, 637,799 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 19,765 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 7,952 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 557,209 persons have completed surveillance period and 51,461 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 2,100,760 samples are available.
Out of 2,100,760 the number of samples tested negative stands at 2,010,594 while as 90,166 have tested positive, among them 7,952 are active, 80,802 persons have recovered and 1,412 persons have died. (with inputs from KNO)
