Poor network connectivity irks various villages in south Kashmir

Pulwama: Poor network connectivity is troubling the residents of different areas of southern Kashmir and locals have appealed concerned authorities to look into the issue.
The locals from Padgampora Awantipora, Nowpora, Lassipora, Bhatnoora, Armulla and its adjacent areas in Pulwama district, Durpora, Awneera and its, adjacent areas in Shopian district, Wallerhama and its adjacent areas in Anantnag district have alleged that valleys leading telecom service provider including Airtel, Idea-Vodafone and even Jio have failed to provide good network facility to the people of area.
They said that we have taken up the issue with all the service providers but these grievances were overlooked again and again due to unknown reasons.
Residents of Padgampora and its adjacent villages of the area have complained that they have been facing these problems from the last many months now.
“E-learning is the latest wave of education across the globe but here in this area, students are facing acute network problems which need to be solved through proper initiatives,” a group of local students said.
“During covid-19, when classes are given on-line we are unable to attend classes due to poor connectivity,” said Huzaif, a young student from Wallarhama Pahalgam.
“We have many a times taken up the issue with the administration and other officials but to no avail as our sufferings continue,” said a local from Zainapora area.
Locals have once again sought the attention of the higher authorities to look into the matter at an earliest.
