During the very first month of 2018, a catastrophic incident happened in Kathua district of Jammu Kashmir when an innocent eight years old girl Asifa was molested sexually by eight beast natured humans. Belonging to Gujjar Bakarwal community, the fragrance of this little flower was wiped out for all times to come.
For over a week she was victimised by these beasts. Asifa still dwells in our souls. She is still in our memories. Still she is the pain of our heart. Her screams and cries are still echoing in our ears. Though with each passing day, this pain diminishes, but unfortunately we live in a society where it is considered a sin to be a daughter or sister. Here a daughter is treated like an item bought and sold on a shop. The champions of Beti Bachaou (Save the girl child) are themselves victimising this sect in order to quench their sexual thirst.
Recently the new incident that took place in UP has once again reminded us of Asifa. Men of conscience are lamenting, where does the justice lie? Murderers of peace are actually those who raise the hollow slogans of justice and equality. Presently the protection of children has become difficult for the parents. On the other hand our conscience is dead.
Muslim ummah has been the victim of oppression from the day first. Hazrat Sumaiah’s (RA) body was fragmented into two pieces, Paroah’s (Phirons) maid along with her children was put into boiling oil, Zainab (RA) was martyred along with her children. Our Prophet (PBUH) was pelted with stones at Taif. Still others opine that Islam spreads violence. In-fact, Islam is the religion of peace and universal brotherhood.
It was dearest prophet (SAW) who gave the women their right to live a dignified life. Farooq Azam (RA) bestowed them with the blessing of Pardah. Mohammed Bin Qasim broke the back of sexual offenders. Shah Mohammed Delhelvi destroyed all brothel points. Alama Iqbal (RA) through his pious poetry, taught them the concept of KHUDI.
Prophet (PBUH) has rightly said “Ummah will pass through the times of decietfulness, then truth will be rejected while falsehood will be embarrassed patiently. A sincere person will be regarded as dishonest, while an unscrupulous will be regarded as an honest. During these times, worthless, wicked and amoral persons would be criticizing the opinions of logical majority.
I remember Hazrat Bilal (RA). How much love, respect and affection Prophet (PBUH) gave him. He liberated him from the life of slavery at Habash and made him a pearl.
Criminals! You didn’t spare even Nirbhaya. When the autumn of 2012 was all tearful. When in December month our 23 years old sister was sexually exploited in Delhi. Where were the protectors of law sleeping at that time ? When in a moving vehicle six beasts extinguished the light of humanity. Do you know Islam? Nirbhaya to us is exactly like Asifa. Prophet (PBUH) in his farewell sermon has said “O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust.
Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Treat others justly so that no one would be unjust to you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.
Remember, one day you will appear before God (The Creator) and you will answer for your deeds. Listen: Satan is disappointed for ever here because in this city he won’t be worshipped anymore. However, certain things which you regard minimal would be obeyed, he will be happy with that.( Tirmidi).
It has often been observed that poor, hapless innocent daughters are made easy victims by these offenders. How for this oppression will prevail? Girl child of Dalits are treated like toys and exploited sexually. Word Dalit is itself unethical. Allah’s messenger (PBUH) has said ” O people your lord is one.
All mankind is from Adam and Eve. An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action.”
O Muslim ummah you have the legacy of Usman Zi Noorain (RA), Sultan Salahudin Ayoubi etc. You have the duty to preach good things to fellow beings besides restricting them from evil at all times.
